Long envisioned, hoped for by many who have lived and worked along the waterfronts of Fort Lauderdale, the Fort Lauderdale Maritime Museum is finally getting underway.

Fort Lauderdale's newest museum will be located in the heart of the downtown "Arts and Cultural District", just a stone's throw from the New River, on city-owned land.

We are raising money, building strategic alliances, developing an exciting program of exhibitions and events, outfitting the museum's space, getting ready for an opening in 2008.
